KFC: #KFCTurns50
KFC wanted to sizzle and drive awareness for their 50th birthday celebration. The challenge encouraged participants to celebrate with KFC by dancing to the official birthday anthem, while using the 3D Branded Effect #KFCTurns50. The effect was the first 3D branded effect on TikTok in South Africa and turned the user into Colonel Sanders. Launching the HTC with popular local creators and running TopView, ensured high engagement and boosted consideration and the demand they were after.

Tinkies: Mobile In-Game
Tinkies wanted to promote their #timefortinkies campaign in South Africa in an exciting way that would engage consumers during the festive season and reach them in the environments that they were spending their time in. Tinkies saw a 21% lift in Brand Recognition.

Huletts: Spark | Infeed |TopView Ads
In their #GrownWithKindness campaign, Huletts used TikTok Spark Ads to drive brand awareness and reach a new audience. The campaign ran for one day reaching a massive 1.6M TikTokkers. In-Feed and TopView Ads were used to drive awareness and traffic to the campaign page and assisted in a 14% lift in its brand awareness and a further 17% lift in spontaneous awareness. This led to a 4% lift in purchase intent.

Cape Town Tourism: HTC | In-Feed
The Tourism industry was disrupted by the COVID-19 Travel Ban. Cape Town Tourism wanted to drive brand awareness & re-ignite people’s passion for the City of Cape Town as a travel destination. There was a total of 416 unique video creators garnering a total of +3.7M total user-generated content video views, on the back of a total of 32.8K engagements. To add a cherry on top the popular branded effect saw a total of 7.4M total impressions.

Lacoste: Hashtag Challenge
The Lacoste Hashtag Challenge delivered strong memorability, consideration and boosted product purchase intent by +20% for their new L.12.12 Eau de parfum. Lacoste wanted to drive awareness and consideration and partnered with local South African creators to start a hashtag challenge that inspired users to create a dance using the Lacoste croco sign.

Hyundai tapped into people’s passion for creation and community expression on TikTok. TopView Ads enabled Hyundai a sustained presence on the platform and within one day reached 5.1.M impressions and 2.87M video views. The campaign enhanced brand perceptions and 16% stronger associations of being a budget-friendly car.

Britbox through Entravision 365 Digital partnered with a local South African publisher, ENCA; putting Britbox front and centre by occupying prime ad real-estate above the fold launching with a desktop Video Wallpaper to grab users’ attention while informing and creating excitement around the new release on Britbox. To further boost exposure and drive the community to Britbox, they ran a mobile scroller Vertical Video creative solution.
